Tuesday -- William D. Johns received a telegram yesterday notifying him of the death of his daughter, Mrs. Della M. Rand, which occurred at Gallipolis yesterday afternoon.  Mrs. Rand was 21 years of age and leaves one child, a boy of 5 years.  The remains are expected to arrive here tonight and the funeral will take place at 3 o'clock from the residence of Mr. Johns, one mile east of the city.  The interment will be made in the Johns family cemetery, two miles east of the city.  Mrs. Rand was a member of the Disciple Church.

The following week's paper, dated 20 June 1896 (Vol. LXXIX, No. 6), had the following additional information regarding the death of Mrs. Rand, as follows:

HICKORY HALL -- Mrs. Della Rand was buried at the Johns Cemetery Thursday.
